The very nature of Funeral services is a unique experience and very much a personal choice. There are a wide variety of options to choose from when organising a funeral, from the traditional right through to the truly unique.

At H.J Newman we we are more than happy to answer any questions you may have about costs associated with our funeral services. We understand Trust and Transparency are incredibly important elements when deciding to appoint a Funeral Director.

To help in your decision process, we have provided some standard pricing information below. As a guide, Funeral costs consist of “Funeral Director Fees” essentially charges for our services and “Disbursement Fees”. Disbursements are fees which are paid on your behalf to third parties, such as Doctors, churches, Crematoria and Cemetery authorities, all of which are broken down in our funeral quotations.

Comparing Funeral Costs

In 2021 the government, through the Competitions and Markets Authority (CMA) required every UK Funeral Director to provide customers with Standardised Pricing and Disclosure information.

In addition to comparing the Standard Pricing, we would always recommend talking to your local Funeral Directors, obtaining a full quotation for your specific requirements and looking at customer feedback online.
